Daniel Donovan and Scott Guilmartin are the senior members of NuPower. Together they bring proven development expertise in permitting, engineering, finance, project management and community relations.
Mr. Donovan has been involved in the financing of energy projects in the United States and abroad for over 25 years. He is the lead developer and principal on a number of ongoing renewable energy projects. In addition to his role as co-founder of NuPower, Mr. Donovan is principal in the firm of Prospero LLC and its FINRA registered Broker/Dealer Prospero Capital LLC. Prospero specializes in all forms of financial matters related to the sustainable and renewable energy industry.
Mr. Donovan has spent ten years in the engineering and technical consulting industry at Exxon Research & Engineering and the Fluor Corporation. He has a similar tenure in the financial services industry at Credit Suisse and Merrill Lynch, concentrating on both corporate and project funding.
Mr. Donovan has an MBA from the Wharton School/University of Pennsylvania, a Master in Engineering from the University of California/Berkley and a Bachelor in Engineering from the University of Massachusetts/Amherst.
Mr. Guilmartin has a thorough knowledge of the project permitting process that is vital to the successful development of renewable energy projects. He was the founder of Envirocycle LLC in Bloomfield, CT, an organics recycling company and is the past Chairman of the Suffield, CT Planning & Zoning Commission. These positions provided Mr. Guilmartin with the experience to work with both local and state authorities in every step of the permitting effort. Mr. Guilmartin was formerly a board member of the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority, a quasi-public agency that provide mortgage and equity financing for in-state affordable housing development and preservation. The Authority’s portfolio currently exceeds four billion dollars. Mr. Guilmartin is also a board member of the Connecticut Airport Authority.
Mr. Guilmartin has a Bachelor of Art from St Bonaventure University.
